Founded in Kansas City, MO by Don Collins Sr. as E-CON-O Conversion, the company develops and builds the first Type A school bus

E-CON-O moves to Hutchinson, KS as Collins Industry.

Collins becomes the first bus company to develop and produce a special needs Type A school bus.

Collins designs and builds the industry’s first child-care specific, 14 passenger multi-function school activity bus (MFSAB).

Public Notice

Collins Bus Corporation is required to establish a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise program in accordance with 49 CFR 26. We have concluded the FY 2018-2109 goal setting process. This proposed goal and methodology are available for inspection for 30 days and for comment for 45 days following the date of this notice.
